Would you like to play tennis in a beautiful setting with excellent facilities? We are a friendly group of people and are always pleased to welcome new members.

Our courts are situated on the recreation ground in Alfold where we are affiliated to the Alfold Sports and Social Club. We have two floodlit hard courts and a ‘Lobster’ ball machine, should you want some extra practice. Membership includes the use of our excellent village sports club where you can relax in the lounge bar after your game of tennis with other club members, family and friends, or entertain the opposing team with refreshments at the conclusion of the match.

We are affiliated to the Lawn Tennis Association and have teams currently playing in the following leagues –

Chaucer League	Men’s Doubles
	Mixed Doubles
	Veterans Doubles
Surrey League	Ladies Doubles

As well as league games, our fixture list also includes a number of friendlies. These matches are always enjoyable occasions followed by refreshments to round off proceedings.

We are fortunate to have an excellent coach providing sessions for adults as well as juniors.

We hold our annual club Knockout Tournament during the summer, with men’s, ladies, mixed and junior events, followed by the presentation of awards which usually take place at the end of the season.

Our social committee plan a number of events throughout the year, and these include –

barbecues; American tournaments; mystery cycle ride;

indoor tennis tournament followed by supper;

Christmas dinner at a local venue with presents from Santa’s sack!

We have also participated in residential tennis trips to Centre Parcs, Windmill Hill and France, and new ideas and suggestions for future occasions are always welcomed.

Our membership is made up of all abilities and all ages; you may be a beginner, an intermediate or advanced player, but whatever your ability we look forward to welcoming you to Alfold Tennis Club.
